Independence Day of India would be celebrated by the people all over the India on 15 th of August 2016, at Monday. This year in 2016, India will celebrate its 70th Independence Day to pay tribute and remember all the freedom fighters that had contributed a lot and fought for the Independence of India. The first Independence Day was celebrated in India on 15 th of August in 1947. So we INDIANS in Germany, come forward to celebrate this great occasion with various Sports and Cultural Events with the support of INDOEUROPE.EU and Mana Telugu Association (MATA) on July 30, 31 and August 6, 7. We request each and every one of you to come forward in participation and make this Event a bigger and grand success.
Symbol and Significance of Independence Day in India
The kite flying sport in India symbolizes the Independence Day. The sky all over India becomes full of countless kites (flown from rooftops) of various sizes, shapes, styles, and shades. Some of them become tricolor symbolize India’s flag. Another symbol of Independence Day is the Red Fort of New Delhi where the first Indian Prime Minister, Jawahar Lal Nehru, unfurled the Indian flag on 15 th of August in 1947.
Independence Day is celebrated to commemorate the freedom of India from the British rule in 1947. 15 th of August is the day of re-birth of the India. It is the day when Britishers left India and handed over the country to its leaders. It is the most significant day in the history of India and celebrated every year with great enthusiasm by the Indian people.
INDEPENDENCE DAY CUP TOURNAMENT:
Telugu association (MATA) a Non Profitable organization in order to make this Event BIGGER and memorable.
INDEPENDENCE DAY CUP is one of the prestigious tournaments for the CRICKET Lovers staying in Germany along with VOLLEY BALL for men. This year the Organizing team has come up with some more exciting competitions to make the Event livelier and in a better way. We have included Athletics for Children and Handball for Ladies. Not to mention we have several Cultural Competitions too.

MATAis Hosting"‪#‎JayateKuchipudi‬" in Munich on Tuesday 21th June 6 PM.
Event of this kind helps promoting our culture in Munich, Germany and also helps teaching our culture to the next generations.
Kuchipudi is an ancient Indian classical dance originating from Andhra Pradesh state in India, and very popular all over the Southern India. For the first time, a grand culture promoting event "Jayate Kuchipudi" is co-organized in Munich by MATAwith the collaboration of ICCR (Indian Council for Cultural Relations) and UKTA (UK Telugu Association)
The event involves Kuchipudi dance performances, Folk dances and Indian drama by a team of 45 artists.
Jayate Kuchipudi Europe tour starts from 11th June 2016 till 2nd July 2016, and the event in Munich is planned on Tuesday 21th June 2016.
